Q & A

More details on Film Sessions, please?

Sessions shot with film will primarily be 35mm. You have the option of color (I prefer Kodak Portra) or BW (I generally use Ilford).
All film is sent out to be processed, then digitized on a high resolution scanner. You will receive a gallery link with the digitized images.
Overall time frame from shoot to digital gallery is 6 weeks.

When will we get our photos?

Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum 5 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph). You can download photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!

What if I need a different session length?

I can make nearly any amount of time work for a photography session. What you see listed should give you a general idea for cost and what we can accomplish together. If you would like something different (more outfit changes, different session length, more images, etc.) please let me know and we'll work something out.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm a mid-Michigan based artist. I do travel, but additional fees may be required.

Do you photograph weddings?

Absolutely! Shooting a wedding would be considered a "Day Session" with just me as your photographer. I often recommend a second shooter during the day, which would add an additional cost.

What should I wear?

I always advocate for you to be comfortable and to express your personal style. However, there are always a few suggestions I can share. Simple fabrics with limited patterns, multiple layers, one or two accessories, with natural hair and makeup are just a few ideas to get you started. I love talking about styling as we plan the the shoot, as it helps me to generate ideas for the overall aesthetic. This way your personality and my photography work to compliment each other.
